Oh, Hello There!

Hello there! Thanks for stumbling onto my page. I am a serial hobbyist. I love to pick up hobbies, get good at them, and then start learning something new. Most of my ventures revolve around the kitchen, where I have always loved to be. When I became a mom in 2018 being in the kitchen was harder, but in 2022 we had a second baby and being in the kitchen became nearly impossible. I had unhelpful little hands in the flour, juice being spilled to my left, tripping over hot wheels behind me… but I still love to be there, even thought the arch on my foot still aches.

I started this page to not only give myself a creative outlet, but to also lend a helping hand to rundown mamas like me and help them love their kitchen just a little bit more. I want to help you make a delicious and easy meal plan, share easy weekday recipes, and to give you a place to retreat, relax, and hopefully have a few giggles along the way, because being a mom is hard. It is usually a glass half empty kind of job, but I’m hoping writing about the bad will help me fill the other half of the glass with joy and love.

So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the musings of a mistreated mother. One who makes mistakes and occasionally (or not so occasionally) yells at her kids and forgets to switch the laundry. Let’s give ourself some grace and enjoy this journey together.

"I tell it how I see it. It's not always pretty or nice, but I always try to find some humor in the difficult and the uncomfortable."

Meet the Kids...

Maycee

My firstborn, Maycee is my careful child. She has always despised being wet or dirty, is a deeply sensitive and emotional child, and she’s skittish around loud noises [like flushing a toilet…] She loves to cuddle, sing, and she’s my shadow so I never had to worry about her wondering too far, which brings me to…

Kooper

Don’t let those doe eyes fool you. This kid is as feral as they come. This is Kooper, he will be sweet as can be one second, and sour and spicy the next. He is my curious one, my wanderer, my child without fear or respect for personal space. He is also quick to say sorry, the cutest little copycat and a mama’s boy through and through.
